The description of the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer. You will play a pivotal role in developing and testing applications that run seamlessly on Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient application architecture using Java Spring Boot and Helm.
• Utilize tools such as Maven and Helm for build and deployment processes.
• Develop and implement system test automation frameworks, including Kubernetes infrastructure testing from an application performance perspective.
• Collaborate closely with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Apply system thinking to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
• Participate in agile development practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning & review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Document and share knowledge effectively using tools like Jira and Confluence.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
o Strong proficiency in Java development with experience in Spring Boot.
o Strong proficiency and experience with Helm.
o Expertise in build tools like Maven.
o Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (Azure AKS).
o Understanding and experience of application performance testing and optimization on Kubernetes infrastructure.

• Soft Skills:
o Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
o Strong self-organization and ability to manage work in a high-stakeholder environment.
o Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

• Work Methodology:
o Experience working within agile frameworks.
o Proficiency with Jira for task management and Confluence for documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience working in platform teams or with Kubernetes-based ecosystems.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration best practices.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and logging solutions).
• Relevant certifications (e.g, Certified Kubernetes Developer).
• Experience of Developer Portal development (e.g. Backstage).
